Small, friendly, and welcoming surf lifesaving club found in the northern suburbs of the Illawarra, Dharawal Country

Every SLS club in Australia understands how important the families in the background contribute so much work all season to help us grow and be better without looking for recognition . At our surf club to Helen and Simon Briddon , I can’t underestimate how you both make this club better. Thank you both so much for everything you have done this year
Final nippers for the season and preso afterwards - what a great morning and a great way to complete our program
Fantastic weather, surf conditions and turnup. We have been so fortunate that we didn't have to cancel one meeting this season and nippers went into the water in swim and boards at every session
I placed expectations on myself this year taking over the program from Ant who invested so much time over so many years and made the transition so much easier.
My expectations were far exceeded by the contribution of parents and families who want to be invested in this family friendly surf club and everything we are trying to achieve.
To educate kids on surf safety but also to encourage and watch the confidence of nippers increase at every meeting in the surf
This comes down to a truly wonderful water safety group that has been the most rewarding achievement for me this year
To Ben Hamill as our water safety
Co-Ordinator - as a leader and educator your consistent message and energy has made our season so successful
To the Age managers that have not just filled a role but taken ownership of these kids and their own personalities, which has really seen a growth in their confidence thank you so much
Lacey U5s Sand and Play , Andy U6s + 7s, Fraggle U8s, Dave U9s and 10s and to Kath and Ryan 11s-14s, I cant thankyou enough for your efforts this year and hope to see you next year
We can have only have a successful nippers program with increased water safety and I asked parents to jump on board at the start of the year.
To Grace , Liz and Kieran in obtaining your bronze this year and being leaders in the water each meeting you are such an important factor of why this year has gone so well. Your patience, empathy and encouragement to the nippers has been so wonderful to stand back and admire. If we could pick up another2-3 parents next year we would be in such a good place
To the famous Five - the SRC kids I inherited from last year - the utmost respect for your skillset, communication and investment in our club - Lacey, Jemima, Remy, Audrey and Kieran
To all the nipper parents in our club thankyou for believing and supporting on what we are doing at SWSLS
After checking conditions this afternoon, which should settle down again by tomorrow morning, nippers meeting still on tomorrow am. We will check again early. This is our second last meeting and last meeting with preso next Sunday the 16th - on rain, hail or shine with a few people to thank
Second ever SLS carnival and that being State Champs with no training and no experience in the sport BUT what fantastic results. Just missed out on semis in beach sprint and last to be knocked out before the flags final
Congratulations Georgia on your results today, be very proud of what you achieved at the highest level and how you represented your family and the club.

Hi Everyone,

The BBQ will be fired up and ready go for the kids when completed. The club is offering a $5 flat rate for all kids which will be a bottomless BBQ- they can eat as much as they need. The $5 will cover hot BBQ food and a can of drink or bottle of water

For any families that missed proficiency last weekend we have another this Sunday before nippers - 9.15 at Wombarra Pool. Bindi Adams will assess and kids once completed come over to the surf club and join their age group.

For any families that have still not registered we will be taking regos from 9.15 at the surf club along with selling nipper clothing. Please try to be early as would like to get kids on the beach at 10am to start the activities.
