🌊🏄‍♀️ Nippers is back! 🏄‍♂️🌊 We’ve got all our important dates locked in, so save the dates! 📅 📍 Registration Day at the Club - Sunday 11th October 10 am - 12:30 pm 🏊 Pool Proficiency at Helensburgh Pool - Sunday 25th October 9 am - 11:30 am 🏖️ 1st Nippers Day at the beach - Sunday 8th November 10 am 🖥️ Returning families — you can make things nice and easy by simply renewing membership online via hub.sls.com 👕 Club merch will also be available to purchase on Registration Day, so it’s the perfect chance to get everyone kitted out for the season! ✋We Need Your Help! ✋ We’re looking for past Bronze Medallion holders to join our Patrol Reserve List this season - a pool of casual volunteers we can reach out too if one of our rostered patrols is running short. Whether you can help with one patrol or a few throughout the season, every shift makes a real difference—especially during our busy holiday patrols. If it’s been a while, don’t worry! We’ll help you become proficient again before the season starts. It’s a valuable life skill to refresh, and a great way to get back into the surf. ✨Congratulations and good luck✨ Our club would like to say a massive THANK YOU and to wish our three nominees for the Illawarra Surf Lifesaving Awards of Excellence the best of luck for tonight. Kat Watson is up for Patrol Captain of the Year. Kat heads our all female patrol, leads with kindness and empathy, and has shown exceptional dedication to her role as Patrol Captain. Zac Lopresti is up for the Keith Caldwell Volunteer of the Year. Zac has been instrumental in driving our IRB program, not only within our club, but across the wider SLS community of the norther Illawarra suburbs, helping to make all our beaches just that bit safer. Pete Rafferty is up for Community Engagement of the Year. Pete tirelessly strives to use surf and swim skills as tools to foster inclusivity and diversity within not only the SLS community, but across the Illawarra. This is beautifully reflected in his work with Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra to host a surf skills nippers day.
